Actve Captve – PSSSH!
Actve Captve delivers a ferociously cathartic alt-rock anthem with 'PSSSH!', turning modern overwhelm into an explosive, playful banger
'PSSSH!' sounds exactly like its title suggests: pressure finally escaping. Actve Captve builds the track around a refrain that lists the daily barrage straight out: pain, sorrow, suffering, self hate. The full deck, really. But instead of wallowing, the song leans into the absurdity of reaching saturation point and finding something almost joyful in the release. Why not, especially when it's this fun. The production blends distorted guitars with electronic textures and punk urgency, landing somewhere between arena-ready hooks and basement-show chaos. Brilliant alt-rock pop, explosive and we're definitely fans.
Actve Captve is the project of Justin Han, a songwriter and producer based in Austin with deep ties to New York City. He calls what he makes 'post-traumatic pop', music that sits in the tension between darkness and playfulness, sincerity and absurdity. The sound moves freely between synth-driven production, distorted guitars and raw vocal moments, drawing comparisons to Twenty One Pilots, Glass Animals and AWOLNATION. It's music for people caught somewhere between surviving and becoming, and 'PSSSH!' captures that restless energy perfectly. We're keeping a close eye on this one, a great track.
Danny Lee – No Question
Danny Lee delivers a stirring alternative rock anthem with 'No Question', turning career crossroads into a fantastically honest faith-driven banger
'No Question' opens with guitars that mean business. Danny Lee has written a track about the moment you realise the life you built isn't the life you were made for, and the production matches that tension perfectly: energetic alt-rock riffs pushing against vulnerable, searching lyrics. The song captures what it feels like to stand in the gap between security and calling, still clocking in while your heart is already somewhere else. There's a touch of The Edge to the guitars, real weight in the verses, and when the chorus hits, it lands with conviction rather than volume. Excellent alternative rock, raw and spiritually charged.
Only three weeks since 'When I'm Not Home', Danny Lee is an independent singer-songwriter from Mount Holly, North Carolina. His background includes years as an electrician and military service, and that working-life experience runs through everything he writes. In April 2026 he founded Vision Redemption Records, and he records from a home setup featuring an iPad, GarageBand, one mic, and a Schecter Diamond Series electric guitar. It's proof that genuine talent doesn't need a big studio budget. We're really excited to see where this one goes next.
AzeriahVII – I'm Obsessed With You
AzeriahVII's 'I'm Obsessed With You' is a masterfully restrained darkwave debut, letting tension coil and hold where other tracks would break, a striking post-punk statement
AzeriahVII builds 'I'm Obsessed With You' around what it refuses to do. The track sits in its own atmosphere, moody and unresolved, deliberately avoiding the big hook or the release valve. Bass and vocals anchor the whole thing while Nico Dovan's guitar threads through the murk, adding texture without ever pushing for centre stage. The production keeps everything kinda restrained, linear, letting the tension accumulate instead of cashing it in. It's a debut that knows exactly what it wants to be and commits fully. Superb darkwave, brooding and beautifully controlled.
AzeriahVII is a Belgian artist based in Aarschot, handling bass, vocals and production across a sound that sits somewhere between darkwave, post-punk and experimental electronics. Their musical roots go back to playing bass in a metal band before moving into self-taught electronic production, and that combination shows in the way the low end drives everything forward. Beyond this debut single, there's a wider catalogue sitting in sync libraries for film, TV and games, spanning moods from melancholic to furious. Overall, it's a really compelling, off-kilter synth zinger. More please.
Translucent Veil – The Veil
Translucent Veil deliver a thrilling slice of late-60s psychedelia with 'The Veil', a heavyweight hard rock single that sounds like it was beamed in from 1971.
'The Veil' opens with a riff that could have rolled out of a vintage recording session. Translucent Veil build the track around swirling guitars and a groove that never lets up, the production warm and live-sounding in a way that modern rock rarely bothers with. Lyrically it sits somewhere between introspection and social commentary, never quite landing on one or the other, which gives the whole thing room to breathe. And that chorus? It hits. And I love the guitar work here; the band really know exactly when to pull back and when to let the distortion loose, and the result is a track that feels fully lived-in rather than assembled. Thrilling psychedelic rock, heavy and hypnotic in equal measure.
Translucent Veil are a North Carolina outfit, based out of Raleigh and made up of veterans from other regional bands. They've committed fully to the sound and spirit of late-60s and early-70s rock, and it shows in every bar of what they put out. The whimsy sits right alongside the weight here, and the whole thing sounds like a band who've spent years figuring out exactly what they want to be. Really glad to have them on our radar, and we'll be watching for whatever comes next.
ASTROKATZ – Guiding Light
ASTROKATZ deliver a visceral prog-metal anthem with 'Guiding Light', transforming isolation and redemption into an emotionally charged rock single
'Guiding Light' opens on a riff that found the band rather than the other way around. ASTROKATZ have built something that moves between introspection and release, the dynamics shifting from lovely dark, tension to full-throttle catharsis. The track explores being trapped by past choices, the weight of regret, and the slow work of finding your way back. There's real vulnerability here, but also a lot of riff-shaped power. Superb melodic metal, raw and redemptive in equal measure.
ASTROKATZ are a five-piece from Trenton, fronted by Jack 'Brump' on vocals and guitar alongside Joy on lead guitar and backing vocals, Andrew on bass, and Torii on keys and synth. The songwriting process is collaborative: Brump brings the initial ideas, Joy refines the structure, and the full band shapes the final sound. 'Guiding Light' was recorded at Landmine Studios in New Jersey with engineer Dylan. The result is both cohesive and excitingly unpredictable. We're really looking forward to hearing where they take this next.
