M & J – she’s COSMIC light
M & J's 'she's COSMIC light' is a radiant deep house gem from Bondi, a sun-drenched dancefloor moment that every sunset dancefloor needs
Bondi duo M & J built 'she's COSMIC light' around warmth. The track opens with shimmering pads and a pulse that feels like dawn breaking over water, balancing disco sparkle with deep house restraint. And the groove? Damn this one works. It's got a great hypnotic vocal hook floats through the mix, never overstaying, while the production keeps things spacious and inviting. The lyrics draw on personal experience, grounded and relatable, and there's a real sense of place threaded through the whole thing. Lush, unhurried groovy house, warm and perfect for sunset.
M & J are an alt pop duo from Bondi, Australia, and their music leans into the natural landscape around them. Flora, fauna, ocean, bush: it all feeds into the storytelling and the cover art, which they shoot themselves. Their songs are lyrically driven, built around personal tales they hope listeners can connect with. 'she's COSMIC light' captures that spirit beautifully. Get this on your groovy house playlist, you will not regret it.
TaniA Kyllikki – HUMAN
TaniA Kyllikki's 'HUMAN' is a thrilling techno-house soul hybrid, a dance track with a great vocal and a message that demands to be heard
This one fuses gospel-tinged vocals with pulsating electronic production. TaniA Kyllikki's 'HUMAN' started as a Facebook post about empathy and division, and you can hear that urgency in every bar. Her vocal runs huge across the beats from husband and collaborator Rynellton, the whole thing built to make you move while asking harder questions about race, compassion, and the labels we use to separate ourselves. There's epic builds in this; hypnotic rhythms, atmospheric textures and the energy really builds. Superb techno-house soul, urgent and completely earned.
TaniA Kyllikki is a British singer-songwriter from Berkshire, working with her husband Garry D. Hairston under their Awe Inspiring Records label. Her debut album hit the top of Amazon's Hot 100 Pop Albums chart, she's earned praise from Ne-Yo, and her video for 'I Struck Gold With You' pulled over 2.1 million views, filmed in her living room with a £5 selfie stick. Ongoing health battles mean she records from a self-made vocal booth beside her bed, creating when her body allows. 'HUMAN' leads into her second album, FREE-SPIRITED, due 2027. Over here at BOPS, we hope we hear more from TaniA Kyllikki, because this is great.
