Ogbert The Nerd are back, and they brought a ripper.
Today the New Jersey emo screamers dropped "Stapler," their first new track since the surprise drop of 2024's What You Want. That record came out of nowhere and knocked the wind out of us, so expectations were high. "Stapler" clears the bar.
This is the band at their most unhinged and most dialed in. The guitars twist, the vocals shred, and the whole thing moves with that frantic energy they've chased since their earliest demos. If you loved the chaos on What You Want, this track scratches the same itch. It feels bigger, too. More focused.
Ogbert have always worn the "only emo band from New Jersey" tag like a badge, half joke, half flex. On "Stapler" they back it up. The hooks hit, the screams land, and the momentum never lets up.
New music era confirmed, and it's a belter. Crank this one loud.
